Student Health Services – Alcohol and Other Drugs
Prevention
Substance use and anxiety/depression screenings are offered to all UCF students each semester. Students are given feedback regarding their risk and protective behaviors. Those who screen positive for a substance use disorder receive a next day appointment to see a behavioral health provider.
Treatment
Treatment options vary based on the need of the individual. Common treatment options may include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Neurofeedback Services
- Medication-Assisted Treatment
- Relapse Prevention Counseling
- Mindfulness Training
Recovery
Like treatment, recovery support varies based on the needs of the individual. Some of the recovery options available include:
- Private Study Space

- Substance Use Counseling
- Fellowship and Community
- Recovery Centered Academic and Career Advising
